Park-Woodbury
Park’s results from the Woodbury dual meet Thursday were not available at press time, but it was a record-setting day for one of the Park teams. The Park team of Grace Sahli, Evelyn Sahi, Celestina De Gracia and Micek set a new Cottage Grove Middle School record in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:15.44. That broke the old record of 4:19.
“We just did the 400 relay and broke the record,” said Micek before the foursome posed for a photo standing under the Park pool record board.
“We all swam angry and swam fun,” said Grace Sahli.
Park competes against Mounds View Thursday at Chippewa Middle School, then is back at Simley Saturday for a 10-team invitational.
