Camp Ripley – Mark Wiens, a non-partisan candidate for Washington County Commissioner in District 3, was honored by being inducted into the Minnesota National Guard Court of Honor during a formal ceremony held at Camp Ripley on Sunday, Sept. 29.
The Minnesota National Guard Court of Honor recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding service to the state and nation. Their names are memorialized on an outdoor monument located at the Minnesota Military & Veterans Museum.
“I am deeply humbled to be inducted into the Minnesota National Guard Court of Honor,” Wiens said. “This honor reflects my lifelong commitment to serving our military members, veterans, and their families. I am grateful to have served alongside so many remarkable Americans throughout my more than 30 years of military service.”
Wiens currently serves as the Minnesota State Representative for District 41A and has resided in Stillwater and Lake Elmo with his family for over 21 years. As a candidate for Washington County Commissioner in District 3, his top priorities include promoting environmental conservation and clean water, improving transportation infrastructure and road safety, and ensuring responsible use of taxpayer funds.
