Firchau, Stauffer lead Park runners at meet

Eli Firchau finished third and Gavin Stauffer was sixth to lead the Park cross country boys Thursday in the 2024 Dewey Minnaert Invitational at St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park.

Firchau clocked a 16:26.77 time for the 5K race. Stauffer came in at the 16:38.46 mark.

Osseo’s Quinlan Rundquist won the individual title in 16:16.72.

Park finished fourth in the 11-team boys team race with 96 points. Osseo won the boys team title with 63 points, followed by: 2, Eagan, 68; 3, East Ridge, 81; 4, Park, 96; 5, Minnehaha Academy, 117; 6, Hastings, 126; 7, Burnsville, 171; 8, 9, Trinity School at River Ridge, 191; 10, St. Croix Preparatory Academy, 217; and 11, Tartan, 285.

Henry Joa of the Wolfpack was 12th in 17:12.43, Ben Paulsen was 34th in 18:25.26, Will Mann 45 in 19:11.29, Samuel Craig 49th in 19:15.52, Miles Kaiser 51st in 19:22.86; Jayden Rentz 54th in 19:40.32, Liam Fleming 57th in 19:52.58 and Sam Paulen 59th in 19:58.80.

Osseo also won the girls team race with a score if 53. Hastings was second with 65, East Ridge third with 75m Minnehaha Academy fourth with 83, Trinity School at River Ridge fifth with 89, Park sixth with 148 and Tartan eighth with 171.

Jana Hafiz led the Wolfpack girls, finishing 29th in a time of 24:10.89. Allie Devine was 31st in 24:20.33, Hollen Thompson 32nd in 24:22.83; Kalin Randrup 34th in 24:44.09, Esme Edlund 38th in 25:02.70; Mya Albrecht 39th in 25:06.20 and Aria Waletzko 40th in 25:10.11,

Park is off this week. The next meet for the Wolfpack is the Osceola Invite in Osceola, Wisc., on Saturday, Sept. 21.
