The public is invited to comment on the Glacial Hills Regional Trail Long Range Plan through an in-person open house on Monday, July 29.
The open house is scheduled from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Hugo City Hall, 14669 Fitzgerald Ave. N. Washington County staff will share proposed route alignment options and visuals.
For individuals who cannot attend the in-person open house, the county will share materials from the event on the project website afterward. The public can visit the website to view an online engagement opportunity anytime and leave comments from July 29 to Aug. 12. There will be no formal presentation at the in-person open house.
Washington County is leading a process to plan the Glacial Hills Regional Trail. The long-range plan will guide the vision and future development of an east-west multiuse trail through northern Washington County. The future trail will connect the Hardwood Creek Regional Trail, Big Marine Park Reserve, and William O’Brien State Park.
Project updates will be posted on the county’s website at washingtoncountymn.gov/GlacialHills. For more information, contact Senior Planner Connor Schaefer by calling 651-430-4303 or emailing connor.schaefer@co.washington.mn.us.
